According to FBI investigators involved in the murders of Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach HY”D, the three were shot ten times with a gun that had a silencer attached. This is based on experts listening to the tape of the phone call made by Shaar at 20:25 to the police emergency dispatcher.
The FBI was involved because Frenkel was an American citizen. The experts seem to feel the kidnappers planned to kill the victims all along.
An ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) commenting on the report said “We haven’t yet apprehended the kidnappers and therefore we are not releasing information on the case”.
