HaRav Aryeh Finkel, Rosh HaYeshiva of Mir Brachfeld arrived in the United States this (Tuesday) morning. This is his first visit to America. The Rosh Yeshiva traveled to the U.S. upon the Shlichus of Harav Aharon Leib Shteinman Shlita.
The following is a tentative schedule:
Following Shachris and a Shiur at Yeshivah Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway, the Rosh Yeshiva will be delivering a Schmooze in the Five Towns, and possibly at another location as well.
Tuesday afternoon, the Rosh Yeshiva will be attending an Asifa in New York, before heading to Lakewood.
Upon arrival in Lakewood, a Kabolas Ponim will be held at the home of Rav Malkiel Kotler.
On Wednesday, the Rosh Yeshiva will be saying a Shiur at BMG, and will be meeting with the Roshei Chaburah of the Yeshivah.
on Thursday morning, a the Rosh Yeshiva will be attending a breakfast for Balei Batim, followed by a visit to Yeshivah Ketana. After the visit, the Rosh Yeshiva is expected to meet all the children of the Lakewood Cheder, before leaving back for Eretz Yisroel.
The Rosh Yeshiva, who is approximately 90 years old, reportedly only left Eretz Yisroel one other time in his life, which was for a brief visit to Canada about thirty years ago.

Last year, I had the zchus to fly with the Rosh Yeshiva
(with Kupat HaIr) to Vilna and Radin.
I dont know why these reports are leaving out the main reason the Rosh Yeshiva is coming in which is to attend the BMG evening of chizuk Tent Event in honor of the yungerleit that sit and learn all day and to raise money for the Yeshiva Kollel Check. He will be speaking there tommorow night on Cedarbridge and New Hampshire at 8:00
Corrected:
The last time he was here attended my wedding about 22 years ago.
He came then with Reb Ahron Chodosh, stayed in Toronto Canada and Montreal.
Much hatzlacha in all his endeavors. In today’s world, its hard to believe there are some chashuve rabbonim who have never left EY or in this case, made only one visit to Canada. Does anyone know if this rav was born in EY or arrived after the War.
I remember an old beautiful Hanoch Teller story about the meaning of Asher Yatzar that involved Rav Aryeh Finkel on an airplane.
