Many mispallalim in shuls on Shabbos morning felt an earthquake at 10:30 in Israel. The epicenter of the earthquake which measured 4.1 on the Richter scale was south of the Dead Sea but felt in areas of Israel. Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) reported the quake was felt in the Beit Shemesh and Rishon L’Tzion areas too. Israel Police reports receiving hundreds of calls from residents from Eilat to Ashdod about the quake.
B’chasdei Hashem there were no reports of injuries or property damage.
