The deal to end the coalition crisis surrounding Israel Railways maintenance work on Shabbos is a farce, at least according to opposition MK Ahmed Tibi. MK Moshe Gafne announced that despite the agreement, which does not address closing grocery stores in Tel Aviv on Shabbos, he plans to continue battling for their closure.
Regarding the deal accepted by Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, Tibi said it was a farce and tweeted, “As one looking from the side I can say that even Yair Lapid’s father would have been willing to sign an agreement like this regarding the status quo and the grocery stores, the railway and soccer on Shabbos. Not that I am looking to crank things up…”
Tibi basically accuses Litzman and other chareidi MKs of capitulating and selling out for the sake of keeping the coalition intact.

When we sell out Torah, the goyim realize. Litzman committed a giant chillul h-shem.
i don’t much care for Dr. Tibi, but when he’s right, he’s right.
