Tragedy struck the Kiryat gat Charedi community on Sunday, with the tragic death of a young child at a kindergarten.

United Hatzalah EMS personnel responded to a kindergarten, where the child was found in cardiac arrest

CPR and advanced resuscitation was continued and a hospital spokesman told the media the child was pronounced dead in Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

According to preliminary reports, the child swallowed a quantity of sand and began choking. MDA reports receiving the call at 1:56PM. MDA paramedics Eyal Mor Yosef and Karen Slobodnik explained advanced life support efforts were simply unsuccessful and the child was pronounced in the hospital.

The child has been identified as Yechiel Michel Herbst Z”L, the son of Reb Aharon Herbst.

The Leveya will be held on Sunday evening at around 7:00PM in the Bais Halevayos in Ashdod.
