Popular wedding singer Shauly Waldner, who is also a Boro Park Hatzolah volunteer, shared an amazing story on social media about meeting a man whose life he saved while singing at a wedding.
The incident occurred about 8 months ago, at a wedding in Boro Park at which Shauly was singing. The man went into cardiac arrest in middle of dancing, prompting Shauly to immediately drop the microphone and spring into action. He began administering CPR while calling for backup from fellow Hatzolah EMT’s and Paramedics, and Baruch Hashem they were able to bring the victim back to life.
Last night at wedding, Shauly met the man for the first time since the incident, a meeting he described as “emotional is an understatement.” Shauly wrote, “I am so honored and proud to have had the privilege to be at the right place at the right time. And now I am thankful to Hashem for allowing me to see the amazing outcome!”
Shauly noted, “it’s rare that I share a personal story on social media, but this one was too amazing to let pass…”

Shauli is a great singer and an even better person.
Great story. That must have been a real jolt, when you met him at the next wedding.
Brought me to tears !!!
They should both live and be healthy עד מאה ועשרים!
this man lives 2 blocks away from Shauli’s parents.
