The news spread early in the morning of Wednesday, 9 Nissan 5774 in the community of Elad. 18-year-old Ephraim Shimron Ariel z”l was killed in a fatal crash that occurred during the night on Highway 6. The niftar was the son of Elad security officer Uzi Ariel.

The fatal crash occurred shortly after midnight near the Sorek Interchange. Another talmid yeshiva was involved in the crash, and is listed in light condition in a local hospital.
