YWN regrets to inform you of the sudden Petira of Hagon HaRav Yosef Levi ZATZAL, the Mechaber of the multi-volume “Minhag Yisroel Torah”, which can be found in Batei Midrashim and homes around the world.
Rav Levi caught pneumonia on Purim and was sent to the hospital. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and was Niftar on Tuesday morning at the age of 52. He leaves behind an Almana, and 11 children, 4 of them not yet married.
The Levaya will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00PM in Bais Chaim Yeshiva, 4911 17th Avenue near 49th Street.
A Levaya and the Kevura will be around 4:30PM in the old Bais Hachaim of Kiryas Yoel.

this is horrific & tragic. our Gedolim are leaving us on a weekly basis & its just getting worse R”L. do you remember just a few years ago-before this mageifa of Gedolim started-when we only heard once or twice a year c”v that a tzaddik was niftar?
look at these last 10 gedolim that were recently niftar, & look at the dates & young ages they were niftar in a matter of only a few weeks?

is it even POSSIBLE for someone to say this is coincidence?
will WE EVER start doing teshuva?
I’m sorry to be the one to say this & it bring tears to my eyes, but righteous tzaddikim don’t belong staying in a world of people who won’t do teshuva, they belong with Hashem & his shechina in olam Haba.
If we want Hashem to give us these Tzaddikim to guide us through the generation then we need to listen to them %100 & we need to do teshuva to be deserving of their guidance & Torah.
May we all start doing Teshuva ASAP before any other Tzaddikim are niftar C”V
#3: Have you done a statistical analysis of the age of these individuals versus the number at that age who were niftar, and compared it with the norm?
I have. It is normal. These petiros do not fall under the geder of a mageifah, R”L, in which specific steps should be taken.
While the death of any Jew, not just a Gadol, is tragic and a time for introspection and teshuvah, getting hysterical every time a Jew is niftar is not the Jewish way.
And, your last sentence borders on kefirah.

We do know that “misas tzadikim michaperes”.
But, beyond what chazal tell us, only one with ruach haKodesh can say what tzadikim we do or don’t deserve and what Hashem’s cheshbonos are or are not.
In terms of listening to tzaddikim, one would think that recent collective incidents of close to a million Jews worldwide heeding their call to daven for our brethren in E”Y definitely and resoundingly qualifies as “listening to tzaddikim”.
I don’t mean to imply that this means there is nothing left to work on. Perhaps there is. But one should be very cautious when possibly speaking badly about the entire Klal Yisrael.

with the situation we are in today-going through constant tragic & horrific tragedies (almost on a daily basis), & the US economy heading towards a complete crash C”V (just like Greece, Haiti & many other countries that have colaapsed), The Israeli Draft etc…
Why haven’t the gedolim (leaders) of klal yisroel made a z’man for teshuva (repentance) Kinuus & Taanis (fasting)?
How bad must things get C”V BEFORE WE WAKE UP & DO TESHUVA? has it not gotten bad enough? how much worse must it get C”V before it necomes the situation like the story of purim? we can all see the anti-semitsm in the world growing & getting worse (including in the USA)
Perhaps you can assist me with an answer honestly, its been bothering me for a long time (since the tzaros in klal yisroel went from tragic to horrific about 3 years ago).
How long can Hashem watch us & not do something to wake us up? i.e. how long can YOU watch your child not listen to his parents before he’s gone too far & needs to be punished? its a potch of love to help the child improve… & thats the bottom line.
Klal yisroel blew it long ago, when we see tzaros happening but we don’t get together as a nation to do teshuva & beg Hashem forgiveness?
