Unprecedented Rains on Rosh Hashanah

Water Authority and meteorological officials are in agreement, the rainfall across Israel over Rosh Hashanah was unprecedented. 70-80mm of rainfall was reported in the northern Golan Heights, along with 40mm in other northern areas, and 10mm over the Kinneret.

Meteorologist Nachum Malek states however this is not necessarily a sign of what lies ahead for the upcoming winter, but we do pray this will be the case. On Monday afternoon, thundershowers were reported in the north, which Malek predicts will dissipate during the later afternoon hours, and stop completely by Tuesday. There is no rain in the forecast for the remainder of the week, he reported.
