A lead IDF delegation of experts in the fields of search, rescue and medicine is set to leave on Monday night, the eve of 9 Kislev 5774 for the Philippines, which was struck by a natural disaster. The rescuers are part of the IDF’s Homefront Command.

The expert rescuers will perform a thorough situation assessment, including an infrastructure evaluation, that will determine the best rapid response the IDF can provide to the Government of the Philippines.

This mission is in accordance with a directive given earlier today by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz and the government.
