Terror Victim Becomes a Policewoman


Ten years after being seriously wounded in a bombing attack in Karnei Shomron, Shira Chazan, today 25, completed the first portion of Israel Police training academy as she hopes to become a policewomen. She was also in another attack when terrorists opened fire at a vehicle in which she was traveling, near her home.

After a long and painful rehabilitation process, Shira is getting on with her life as she tells the press her father serves as a lt.-colonel in the IDF reserves and her two brothers are in elite combat units. Armed with a degree in criminology, she decided to seek a career in the police department and it appears she will be serving in Maale Adumim.
