Brooklyn – Councilman David Greenfield offered a $1000 reward this morning for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shocking incident of anti-Semitic arson on Ocean Parkway this morning.
As FlatbushScoop.com has reported, residents of Ocean Parkway between Avenues I and J woke up this morning to discover that three cars were burned by arsonists. A fourth car had fire damage, and a fifth was scrawled in hateful graffiti. Nearby, there was more vandalism depicting swastikas and the letters “KKK.” The 66th NYPD Police Precinct is investigating along with the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force. Councilman Greenfield spoke with Inspector John Sprague earlier this morning, who assured the Councilman that every resource was being utilized to catch those responsible for this anti-Semitic attack.
“We will not accept anti-Semitism in our community. There is zero tolerance for such acts of hatred and ignorance,” said Councilman Greenfield. “I’m confident that these hateful people will be caught and punished to the full extent of the law.”
Councilman Greenfield is encouraging residents with information that could lead to an arrest to call the NYPD tips line at 1 (800) 577-TIPS.

What are we supposed to do with our cars while they search for the perpetrators??
If no one saw anything, how can they be so confident that they are going to find them??
Maybe it’s not such a terrible thing for yidden to be reminded once in a while that they are living in galus.
I think they just remind us about ”kristal night” i Germany , which anniversary was just Yesterday .
Your response is very interesting. You are worried about your car. You are into “gashmiyus”, and only that bothers you.
Anti-semitism used to be quiet and at least under-the-covers here in the USA. That it is rearing its ugly head once again in such a big way, that does not concern you.
The Yiddish communities in the whole of Europe are very aware of this. But we think it can’t happen in America.
We are getting constant reminders thatwe are in Golus – time to wake up – “shechinta b’golusah”.
Our older Gedolim have been saying loudly for a while now, that the atmosphere today is totally reminiscent to Europe in the 30’s.
But you are worried about your car, and that they should catch the perpetrators. What a shame.

GREAT WORDS, not quite realistic. How are we going to NOT ACCEPT anti-semitism in our community? Halevai..
Before making speechs you should get details. The most likely explanation is that this was a cover-up for something else disguised as a hate crime.
Should check every video camera in the neighborhood even if its few blocks away.
But i cant believe they had enough time to do all this on ocean parkway where any time of the night someone is passing by.
I have said this before, it is time to have 24 hour video surveillance on Brooklyn’s streets or this place will turn into a jungle soon!
#5, what’s the problem? Not accepting anti-antisemitism in a community does not mean that antisemitism will not happen!
Yanky 55- “Maybe it’s not such a terrible thing for yidden to be reminded once in a while that they are living in galus.”
I’m disgusted by what you just said. Are you kidding?? So maybe there should be another holocaust so the Jews are reminded that they’re in galus!! Please think before you talk. Just because we live in galus, doesn’t mean these animals who burned the cars in Brooklyn have a right to do what they did!!
#10- I’m equally shocked at what you just said. Having cars vandalized is a far cry from a holocaust. And yes, I thought b4 I spoke. I once had a swastika keyed into my car. Does that mean I am afraid there will be a holocaust here C”V? Of course not. But it is a wake up call nonetheless that we should not get too complacent and think that living in America is the place for Jews to be. We belong in E”Y. Ba’avonosai harabim I am not there yet…
Yanky55- Oh right I forgot by living in Israel we’re not in galus anymore.. I thought you told me you think before you speak. Of course we’re in galus if we live in Israel, only when Moshiach comes are not in galus anymore.
I’m sorry about your car, I hope you did something about it rather than sit back and say ahh we’re in galus, this is what happens..
