There was rock attacks aimed at mispallalim at the Kosel on the second day of Rosh Hashanah 5774 as was the case on erev yomtov. Police were compelled to use riot-control adjuncts to repel the attackers.
On motzei Shabbos, Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz commented on the yomtov attacks. He told the media the attacks were intended to injure mispallalim who came to the Kosel on Rosh Hashanah. “All acts of violence should be condemned, but such acts should be condemned sevenfold as it is a Jewish holy site. The world should release condemnatory statements expressing contempt over the attempt to injure mispallalim at the Kosel on the holy day.”
“Just a month ago the Muslims celebrated Ramadan and the Jews respected this religious rite despite their services significantly complicating matters for many trying to get to the Kosel.”
The rav concluded by praising the actions and response by Israel Police.

OH BOY…more and more Israeli police are needed for the Chagim and they should be stationed on the Temple Mount where the rock throwing always originates.
Should say “There were rock attacks”.
